Job Summary

The Billing Analyst is responsible for driving innovative solutions to address the billing, payments, and finance objectives of clients as part of a high-performing team.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Create and send accurate and professional merchant billing statements and funding requests
  • Work with merchant services to research and resolve merchant billing support cases
  • Research general payments industry topics and questions, related best practices and provide analysis to management
  • Ensure clients' billing accounts are set up correctly and according to their requirements
  • Analyze financial data and develop effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits
  • Attend to client complaints and resolve issues promptly
  • Review invoices to ensure billing accuracy
  • Correspond with clients, issue invoices, and oversee the company's revenue intake
  • Automate billing and payment strategies, collections, revenue accounting and financial analytics
  • Maintain updated records of accounts receivable
  • Analyze all billing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Domestic and international billing, including complex per-partner billing and bulk uploads
  • Research chargebacks and build dispute cases
  • Reconcile invoices with balance sheet reports and resolve any discrepancies
  • Develop long-term relationships and networks, both internally and externally, interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders and executives
  • Prepare reports and meet billing deadlines
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by management

  • Exceptional communication skills with an aptitude for fostering positive relationships
  • Experience with automated billing and payment strategies, collections, revenue accounting and financial analytics
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Detail oriented with a strong business acumen
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, and accounting software programs  

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business or proven experience as a Billing Analyst
  • 4+ years of experience in the Banking/Insurance/Fintech industry is required

  • Must be qualified to work in the United States
  • Infrequent travel for in person meetings, depending on circumstances
